One of Jesus' final and most important instructions to His followers before ascending to Heaven was to go and "make disciples" of all nations.
But what does being a disciple of Christ actually mean?
Disciples are followers and emulators of the life, character and nature of our Savior Jesus Christ. He has not only asked this of each of us, but He also has asked that we help others follow and emulate His life as well.
And one of the most effective and powerful ways to do this is living by His example - humbly and lovingly allowing others to observe in us the very nature of Christ at work in and through our lives in all that we do. In short, scripture calls this, "bearing fruit".
Jesus said, "By their fruit you will recognize them."
For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."
"The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."
Galatians 5:14, 22-23
So what constitutes a disciple is not necessarily being the one who has the most scriptures memorized, nor the biggest financial giver or most frequent church attender. Rather, a disciple is one who bears fruit - the fruit of the spirit - to others, beginning with love.
And it's the fruit of the spirit as established in Galatians that perfectly defines in practical terms what the very nature and character of the life of Christ is.
And that is precisely what we are called to follow and emulate, and what God wants others to observe in our lives, inspiring each of them toward a life of discipleship in Him as well.
Your faithfulness to God and your love for others will most certainly have lasting impact on countless people for His kingdom. May God reward you as you've diligently sought Him to grow as His disciple.

Our AFRICA 2024 Program, in partnership with YouVersion, is currently under development, and our amazing partners at YouVersion have agreed to partially fund 13 new languages. We are currently seeking sponsors to augment the remaining amounts for each language.
As of this writing, we have 4 of the 13 languages fully funded.
We are offering the following discounted sponsorships for the 9 remaining languages to fully fund the AFRICA 2024 Outreach:
1 Language Sponsorship: $1,500 (normally $2.5K)
2 Language Sponsorships: $2,500 (normally $5K)
